31: Exercising Gratitude

In the midst of circumstances you would not have chosen, gratitude may have once seemed incongruous with your experience. But you now recognize that embracing a posture of gratitude is life-giving, for you and for others. So you are giving thanks for the ways you’ve been delivered from the sting of sin and death. You are grateful for those who have embodied, for you, the reality of God’s steadfast, faithful presence. Eyes open, you are able to notice the ways God has been with you and for you—on this day and throughout your lifetime. Today you are able to trust God for the future. As you live from the solid place, by choosing to exercise gratitude, you are being made well and set free.
