24: Welcoming God's Healing

Wounds that remain in the dark will continue to throb. But you are allowing your old hurts to surface, exposing them to light and air and truth. As you do, you are being healed. When you feel the sting of a wound you’ve faced before, one that you assumed had been healed or forgiven, resist the impulse to shame yourself. This is an opportunity to explore the new depths or fresh nuances of healing. While the process may be uncomfortable, and may not unfold according to your schedule, you have confidence in God’s faithfulness. As sin is forgiven and shame is debunked, God is redeeming all you have endured. God is the one who heals and forgives.
